The Centered Practice Psychotherapy and Counselling

Therapy for Self-Worth and Identity

A harsh inner voice can run so constantly it starts to feel like the truth. For some people it shows up as relentless self-criticism; for others, as not knowing who they are outside of what they produce, achieve, or do for other people.

What it can look like

Feeling like a fraud despite evidence of your competence. Measuring your worth by productivity, achievement, or others’ approval. A harsh internal critic that’s hard to switch off. Difficulty naming your own needs, opinions, or wants. A sense of not knowing who you are underneath the roles you play.

How therapy can help

We trace where that inner critic came from, separate your worth from your output, and build a steadier, kinder relationship with yourself — one that doesn’t depend on constant achievement or other people’s approval.

My approach

I bring warmth and directness in equal measure: enough compassion to make the work feel safe, and enough honesty to actually move something. Online sessions, English or Spanish, for adults across Ontario.

Want to go deeper than a technique?

If these techniques help but you feel like you need more, I'd be glad to talk. I offer online individual and couples therapy, in English and Spanish, across the province of Ontario.
