The Centered Practice Psychotherapy and Counselling

Therapy for Low Mood and Depression

Low mood doesn’t always look dramatic. Often it’s quieter than that: getting through the day on autopilot, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, or carrying a low hum of guilt and fatigue that doesn’t lift no matter how much you rest.

What it can look like

Low motivation or energy, even for things that matter to you. Trouble concentrating or making decisions. Feeling flat, numb, or disconnected from people you care about. Guilt or self-criticism that seems disproportionate to whatever triggered it. Changes in appetite or sleep.

How therapy can help

We look at what’s maintaining the low mood (unprocessed grief, chronic stress, isolation, unmet needs, or patterns of thinking that keep you stuck) rather than only managing the symptoms. Small, realistic steps back toward things that matter to you are usually part of the work, alongside understanding what got you here.

My approach

Sessions are online, in English or Spanish, for anyone in Ontario. Psychotherapists in Ontario don’t prescribe medication. If you’re wondering whether medication could help, that’s a conversation to have with your family doctor or a psychiatrist. With your consent, I’m happy to collaborate with them as part of your care.

Ready to take the next step?

I offer online individual and couples therapy, in English and Spanish, across the province of Ontario.
